How it satisfies the laws

The palette doesn't just pick hues — it keeps the load-bearing signals legible and exclusive.

Danger, one reserved signal

Signal-red #C1362A appears only on danger states — escalate, broke, lapse, error fields. It is never an accent, never decorative, and (deliberately) not the terracotta-clay the AI look reaches for.

Why this over the two defaults

Not the AI look: warmth comes from a greige document stock and a warm-black ink — not a cream tint, a display serif, or a terracotta accent. The one warm accent slot (danger) is a decisive signal-red, not clay.
Not the SaaS look: the rail is deep espresso, not a cold navy sidebar; the ground is warm, not blue-porcelain. The only cool note in the whole system is the brand navy itself.
Coherent with the mark by construction: #2E369B isn't decorated around — it's given the load-bearing job of signature ink, so it appears wherever meaning is committed and never has to fight an unrelated accent.
Works at density: because the surface is carried by ink-on-paper contrast, not by color, the dense Waiting-on ladder stays legible with color doing only semantic work.

Open — awaiting your sign-off

Committed = navy, not green. I'm recommending the committed state render in the signature navy (signed in ink) and dropping health-green entirely — it reinforces the metaphor and structurally forecloses any "healthy / on-track" misread (PL-6). The alternative is a calm, non-health green for committed/on-time, kept clearly off any red↔green ramp. My recommendation is the navy; flagging it because it departs from the archived system's green and is a genuine choice, not a foregone one.

Dark mode is not in this specimen. The warm-neutral system inverts cleanly (warm-dark ground, the espresso rail already dark, navy lifted a step for contrast), but it's a second pass once this light system is signed off.
